ToWitToWhom

I have been inspired by the HFY or Humanity F*** Yeah genre of creative writing. To me, this refers to anything that makes you proud to be human. In speculative fiction, humans are very often the most boring or average species. HFY stories turn this around and show how humans are the most awesome, devious, bad-ass sentients in the galaxy. Because, let’s face it, as a species we are capable of doing some pretty amazing things.

I write science fiction in particular, both short stories and an ongoing serial titled One Hell of a Gap Year. Read the first chapter here. This serial follows a particularly awesome human who is abducted and must learn to survive in an alien world. Taken at the beginning of what was meant to be her gap year, she is immediately thrust into an arena where she must learn how to to fight for her life.
